Frenship AcaDec Team Soars Past Competition in Inaugural Year

The Frenship Academic Decathlon team competed last weekend at the Regional meet in Midland, and in its inaugural year, the team ranked #29 out of the 139 6A teams that competed statewide. The team is also ranked #39 out of all 260 teams in the state of Texas that competed across all classifications and are currently #68 in the nation.

Competing teams in the Large School Division at the Regional meet included: Keller High, Keller Fossil Ridge, Keller Central, Keller Timber Creek, Midland High, Midland Lee, Odessa High, Odessa Permian, Odessa New Tech, Frenship High.

With their outstanding performance at the Regional meet, the Frenship AcaDec team qualified for the State meet in San Antonio against the top 40 teams in the state on March 8-10.
