Board President
Brad Draper

Board Member since May 2004

Brad graduated from Monterey High School and attended Texas Tech University. He has a 26-year career in the structural waterproofing and roofing industry and is the Vice President for ARMKO Industries, Inc., a professional engineering firm.

He and his wife Lynda were married in 1987. They have two daughters – Ashlee, a 2007 Frenship graduate, and Kinsey, a 2008 Frenship graduate. They are also the proud grandparents of two adorable granddaughters, Kennedy and Adalee and twin grandsons, Jax and Rogue.

Brad’s family attends church at Southcrest Baptist Church. He and his family enjoy the outdoors and fishing.


David MillerBoard Vice President: 
David R. Miller

Board Member since May 2006

David is currently the President of McDougal Construction. He has more than 30 years of experience with new development working closely with project engineers, architects and local building officials. David has a Bachelors of Science in Engineering Technology from Texas Tech University.

David is involved in several civic and community organizations in conjunction with serving on the Frenship ISD Board of Trustees.

He has one daughter, Kelsey, a 2008 Frenship High School graduate. She is currently employed by the Burkhart Center of Texas Tech University as a Certified Behavior Analyst.

David’s interests include skiing, fishing, hunting, gardening and collegiate sports


Board Member: 
Brandon Autrey

Board Member since January 2018

Autrey is currently a Principal and co-founder of AMD Engineering in Lubbock.  He is a Licensed Professional Engineer for both the state of Texas and the state of New Mexico, a Licensed General Contractor in the state of New Mexico, and a Certified Floodplain Manager.

Autrey is an active member of several civic and professional organizations including the South Plains Chapter of the Society of Professional Engineers and the West Texas Home Builders Association and Developer’s Council. He has served on the Frenship Foundation for Leadership Board for four years including one year as Vice President and two years as President.

Autrey graduated with a BS in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. In addition to his busy professional life, he spends his time with his wife and his three children.


Board Member:
Mikella Newsom
Board Member since May, 2018

Mikella Newsom is Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer for City Bank in Lubbock, Texas. Her responsibilities are overseeing the Bank’s Enterprise Risk Management program and she is also an officer in the Bank’s holding company, South Plains Financial, Inc. She has over 20 years of banking experience, with 19 of those at City Bank.

Mikella is an active volunteer for many organizations including Kappa Delta Sorority of Texas Tech, Meals on Wheels, Bacon Heights Baptist Church, Lubbock Women’s Club, and Hockley County 4-H. She is currently the President of the Frenship Foundation for Leadership and has served on that board for four years.

Mikella graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.S. in Agricultural and Applied Economics. She is married to John and has one son, Rex, who attends the FHS Ninth Grade Center.


Jamey PhillipsBoard Member:
Jamey Phillips
Board Member since December 2015

Jamey is a partner in the law firm Phillips & McLaren, LLP. She graduated with a BS in Agricultural Economics from Texas Tech University and earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Texas Tech School of Law.

Jamey has been involved in many civic and professional organizations in the Lubbock community during her professional career. She serves as a member and past chair of the Lubbock County Hospital District Board of Managers, the National College Baseball Hall of Fame Executive Committee and the Frenship Foundation for Leadership. She is also a past member of the Texas FFA Board of Directors and has served on the FISD Boards of PTA’s for four different FISD campuses.

Jamey and her husband Ronald, University Counsel at Texas Tech, have been married 24 years and have 4 sons – Austin, a senior at Frenship High School, Grant and Gavin, 9th graders at the FHS 9th Grade Center and Holden, a 6th grader at Terra Vista Middle School.


Kyle RogersBoard Secretary
Kyle Rogers 

Board Member since November, 2011

Kyle Rogers is employed at Gandy’s Dairies in Lubbock and has been the organization’s Key Account Manager for the past three years. He also is a Realtor with The Sellers Realty.  He is married to Dana, a 1st grade teacher at Frenship’s North Ridge Elementary.

The Rogers have two daughters – Lauren, a 2015 Frenship High School graduate, and Lynsey, a junior at Frenship High School.

Kyle is a 1985 graduate of Amarillo Tascosa High School and a 1991 Texas Tech University graduate. He currently serves on the South Plains Food Bank Board of Directors and is a member of the College Baseball Hall of Fame Board. He enjoys participating in his daughters’ activities as well as golf and Texas Tech Red Raider sports


Greg RobinsonBoard Member: 
Greg Robinson

Board Member since November, 2013

Greg is currently Vice President at David G. Halley & Co., a commercial HVAC equipment representative firm.

Greg is involved in several civic and community organizations in conjunction with serving on the FISD Board of Trustees. He was the former president of the Frenship Athletic Booster Club and served on the Frenship Youth Baseball board for many years. Greg is a founding member of the Frenship Youth Football League.

Greg has been married to his wife Angela for 30 years. Angela serves FISD as a 6th grade math teacher at Frenship Middle School. They have two sons – Matthew, a 2014 Frenship High School graduate who attends Texas Tech University, and Riley, a senior at FHS.

The Robinsons are members of Wolfforth United Methodist Church. His hobbies include hunting, golfing, and supporting Frenship activities.
