Fourth graders in a fourth grade class at North Ridge Elementary hosted a special visitor shortly before the holidays.
Payton Brown, a senior at Frenship High School and son to Jana Brown, elementary school teacher, spent time with the students in his mother’s school to give them an understanding about the properties, benefits, types, and location and soils.
The science lesson also included information about Payton’s involvement in 4-H and FFA and plans for college. The lesson and subsequent conversation afforded the 4th grade students the opportunity to learn about soil and possibilities for the future at Frenship ISD.
This lesson is an example of the Show portion of the FISD Instructional Model – TIGERS Learning Framework. More information about the TIGERS framework can be found here.
