Game, Set, Match! FMS Principal, Tennis Coach Go Head-to-Head for U Can Share Drive

In an effort to raise money for the annual U Can Share Drive, the tennis team was challenged by coach Kelly Reid to donate food and money for the South Plains Food Bank, which resulted in a doubles tennis match between the students, Reid and FMS Principal Jerry Jerabek as a reward for participants.

Despite the cold, blustery wind last Friday (Jan. 12), the heat was turned up at the Frenship Middle School tennis courts as students went head-to-head in a doubles match against FMS Principal Jerry Jerabek and tennis coach Kelly Reid as a reward for helping raise more than $3,000 and donating multiple barrels of food to the South Plains Food Bank.

This is the 35th year the South Plains Food Bank has led an effort to feed the needy and hungry of the Lubbock and South Plains area. Frenship ISD’s campuses participate each year with fun events, dress up days and incentives for students to help the community.
