Wolfforth Chamber of Commerce announces 2015 Event Dates

The Wolfforth Chamber is gearing up for another great year in 2015 beginning in March with their Annual Awards Banquet. The Chamber will be awarding many community members, community groups and businesses with recognition for outstanding efforts in Wolfforth. The 2014 Chamber Teacher of the Year will also be awarded to a Frenship teacher who shows outstanding service to the children of our community. The Banquet will be help at 6pm on March 30 at Casey Professional Building. Tickets are $10 and must be purchased in advance by calling the Chamber at (806)855-4159 or emailing trobinette@wolfforthtx.us.

May events include Ag to Youth Day, a joint effort with the Ag Extension office dedicated to teaching our Frenship 4th graders about agriculture in the community, and National Day of Prayer. Held the first Thursday of May each year (May 7, 2015) National Day of Prayer is a nation-wide annual observance inviting people to pray for our country. Wolfforth holds this event at the Community Center in Patterson Park with help from our local churches. Lunch will be served beginning at 11:30am and is provided by ABC Bank. ABC Bank has been a sponsor of this event for many years.

The Wolfforth Chamber is excited to announce we will once again host our 4th on the 5th Celebration. Make sure you join us at Patterson Park on July 5 for live music, family activities, food and then fireworks at dark. We had a great turnout last year and hope everyone will come back out with us this year. Watch the Chamber’s website for more details on performers, vendor spaces etc.

The community always looks forward to the Annual Harvest Festival and Parade and this year the fun happens on Saturday, October 3. We will once again host the Color Dash for our elementary age kids, have a large vendor area to explore and crown our 2015 Harvest Queen. Parade will start at 9am and more details including route, event times, vendor forms and more will be on the Chamber’s website as we get closer.

We hope to end 2015 once again with our Community Christmas Celebration in December. We were honored to host this year’s Christmas parade and tree lighting and hope to bring an even bigger event next year to celebrate the Christmas Season. Plans are already being made so watch for that date as we head toward Christmas 2015.

“The Chamber wants to thank all those businesses and individuals who support the efforts of the Chamber and make it possible for us to bring great family events to our community. We look forward to continuing to grow with Wolfforth over the next year and hope you will join us throughout the year!” Terri Robinette, Director of Marketing and Business Development
