The Frenship softball team dug an early hole that prove to be too much to overcome in the end and fell to Midland High 8-6 Friday in Wolfforth.
After falling behind 6-1 in the middle innings, FHS scored in each of their last three at bats. Hayden Brown’s three-run home run in the seventh pulled the Tigers within two runs, but the comeback was too little too late.
Brown, Keeley Etchison, Hogan, Anna Williams, Bullet Mirabal, Caroline Kerr, and Mackenzie Ramirez each collected a hit in the game.
Tiger softball is 14-10 on the year and 3-2 in District 2-6A play. They travel to Amarillo Tuesday for a 4:30 first pitch at Tascosa.
