GIRLS SOCCER
FRENSHIP 5, TASCOSA 0
Allyson Scott and Natalie Jones each put in two goals as the Frenship girls soccer team remained undefeated in district with a 5-0 shutout versus Tascosa.
The shutout extended the team’s shutout streak to six consecutive games. Chloe Woodard added a late goal to push the final spread to five.
The Tigers, now 13-3-0 and 5-0 in District 2-6A halfway through the schedule, will step away from district play this week with a match versus Estacado. They return to district on February 28 at Odessa High.
BOYS SOCCER
TASCOSA 2, FRENSHIP 0
The snake bite of the District 2-6A schedule came up again Friday as Braxton Fleuschhauer was tough in goal with 12 saves, but Frenship fell short to Tascosa 2-0.
The Tigers (6-5-6, 0-2-3) have an open week on the calendar this week. Their next game is February 28 at Odessa High.
POWERLIFTING
The following powerlifters earned medals in their respective weight class at the Andrews Invitational Powerlifting Meet on Friday, February 17:

Claire Currie: 2nd Place
Megan Hartline: 2nd Place
Bethany Broussard: 3rd Place
Hannah Tyson: 4th Place
FHS TEAM: 4th Place
Boys:
Case Dickey: 1st Place
Cole Buchanan: 2nd Place
Isaiah Williams: 2nd Place
Dillan Allen: 2nd Place
Pete Vargas: 4th Place
Quinten Johnson: 5th Place
Zach Morgan: 5th Place
These lifters as well as Nicklaus Taft and Jordan McCullough helped the FHS Team finish in 2nd Place overall.
“I am very proud of the had work and effort put forth by each lifter this season,” said FHS Powerlifting Coach David Crume.
Five Tiger girl powerlifters also qualified for the Regional meet including Broussard, Currie, Tyson, Hartline, and Storey Muse. The Girls Regional meet is Saturday, March 4 in Levelland.
The Boys Regional meet is scheduled for Saturday, March 11 in Abilene. Regional qualifiers for the boys will be announced on February 27.
