Tiger Girls Soccer Remains Undefeated, Unscored On in District Play

The dominance of District 2-6A continued for the Frenship girls’ soccer team who kept their consecutive shutout streak alive with a 9-0 thumping of Midland Lee Friday in Midland.

FHS did not even allow the Lady Rebels to get a shot on goal. The Tigers put 32 shots on goal compared to none for Lee. They recorded their fourth consecutive shutout and have yet to give up a goal in district play.

Allyson Scott and Chloe Woodard each recorded a three-goal hat trick performance. Megan Walser, Morgan Zapata, Natalie Jones each added a goal apiece. Woodard, Zapata and Kyler Carrasco all recorded an assist as well.

The Tigers are now 11-3-0 and 3-0-0 in district. They host Midland High Tuesday. Due to weather, the game time has been pushed up to a 4:00 p.m. start.

The Frenship boys were competitive throughout another hard fought game Friday in Midland, but the host Lee rebels squeaked out a close victory against the Tigers 2-1

Caleb Rogers scored the lone goal for Frenship.

FHS (6-2-6, 0-1-2) will host Midland High Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.
