Tiger Baseball Sweeps Tascosa, Remains Ranked in the State

The Frenship baseball swept Tascosa during a two-game series last week. Here’s a recap of last week’s action:

FRENSHIP 3, TASCOSA 2: Brock Erculiani and Riley Robinson combined for a strong pitching outing that led Frenship to a 3-2 victory on Tuesday. Erculiani struck out nine batters and allowed only two runs over six and a third innings to pick up the win. Robinson recorded the last two outs in the seventh inning to earn the save. FHS tabbed two runs in the third inning thanks to RBI singles by Robinson and Jake Arthus. The early 3-2 lead after three was enough for victory.

FRENSHIP 10, TASCOSA 7: FHS collected 14 hits and put up five runs in the fifth inning to turn an early deficit into a 10-7 on Saturday. Jake Arthus was 3-for-4 to lead the Tigers. Dakota Champagne, Riley Robinson, and Caden Jenkins added two hits each. Colton Brown was the winning pitcher in relief.

The Tigers (22-4) remain tenth in the Class 6A state rankings this week. They next play a two-game series with Odessa Permian beginning Friday at 4:30 in Odessa. The teams battle again Saturday at 1:00 in Wolfforth.
