Tiger Baseball Goes 1-1 During Spring Break Week

Frenship_F_Logo_blueThe Frenship baseball team was one up and one down in district play during the week of spring break after a 5-4 loss to Odessa High and a 7-2 victory versus Tascosa.

On Thursday in Odessa, the Tigers led 3-2 before the Brochos scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to take the lead. FHS answered with a run in the sixth but fell short in the end. Landon Everett, Mason Weathers, Dylan Merritt, and Zariah Pacheco each had two hits in the game.

The Tigers returned home Saturday against Tascosa where the offense exploded early in a 7-2 win. FHS plated two runs in the first followed by five more in the second and cruised to victory from that point. Mason Weathers blasted a three-run home run as part of his four RBI game. Landon Everett was 2-3 and Dakota Champagne added a double and two RBI. Conley Green pitched a complete game to get the win.

FHS is 10-9 on the year and 2-1 in District 2-6A play. They travel to Midland Lee on Tuesday with first pitch slated for 4:30 p.m.
