Legacy Elementary students and staff gathered today to present a check to the Make-A-Wish North Texas Foundation for $3,212.61. Student council members described the various fundraising efforts their school participated in. From penny wars to dress-up days, students competed to raise as much money as possible for the foundation.
The money was raised in honor of Legacy student Ardyn Foster who had her wish granted by going to Disneyworld to see the real Disney princesses and characters as well as explore the “happiest place on earth.” Foster, a first grader, went to Disneyworld a couple of years ago after she was diagnosed with a tumor at just seven months old.
Foster’s mother, Marlayna, said the trip was a great way to get away from treatments and thanked everyone who donated. Each donation helps grant wishes to children diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition.
Thank you to everyone who helped raised more than $3,000 for the Make-A-Wish North Texas Foundation!
