The end of April finds the Frenship softball program in a familiar spot: postseason bound.
FHS finished off their district schedule last week by splitting their final two games with a 4-2 win versus Odessa and a last-inning 9-8 loss to Midland High.
The Tigers enter the Class 6A playoffs with an 18-11 overall record after finishing 7-3 in district play. They tied for second place in the District 2-6A standings with Odessa and earned the number two seed thanks to their two-game district sweep of the Lady Bronchos.
The playoffs get underway for the Tigers this weekend with a Bi-District matchup versus El Paso El Dorado. Game one of the best-of-three series is Friday at 5:30 p.m. CST. Game two is Saturday at 10:00 a.m. with a third game to follow if necessary. All games are at the Ratliff Softball Complex in Odessa.
