Wolfforth Fire Deparment Donates to Rainbow Room Wolfforth Fire Deparment Donates to Rainbow Room

The Wolfforth Fire Department donated toys to the Lubbock Rainbow Room as part of their Community Outreach Program. The Rainbow Room in Lubbock is an emergency resource room located at Child Protective Services assisting abused and/or neglected children and families in crisis situations. The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) provides a part-time staff person and also provides the actual location for the Rainbow Room located at 1103 Martin Luther King Blvd in Lubbock. The staff person, along with Community Partners Board members, network with the community as ambassadors of both the agency and the volunteer board and interact with and coordinate with caseworkers to facilitate activities that will benefit the children and their families. It is the goal of Community Partners to increase community awareness of child abuse and help children grow up to be healthy, productive adults.

The Wolfforth Fire Department is still accepting donations until December 20th. All donations, including hygiene products (new and unopened), new or gently used clothing, baby items etc will be accepted! Drop your donations at the Fire Station located at 305 Cedar Ave in Wolfforth between the hours of 8am-7pm!
