The first annual Wolfforth Christmas tree has been moved to its permanent home. On Thursday, February 19, Tom’s Tree Place relocated the 20 foot Pinon pine used for the inaugural Christmas Celebration to its new location at Frenship Mesa Park. The organizers of the Christmas Celebration and Parade hope to have a new tree each year at the location near the maintenance building west of City Hall for the Community tree lighting ceremony. Terri Robinette, Director of Marketing and Business Development in Wolfforth says, “Besides these beautiful trees helping us celebrate the Christmas season, we are also using this event to help beautify our parks. These mature trees will be a great addition to our various parks in town throughout the many years of upcoming Celebrations.” The 2014 Pinon Pine was a great fit for Frenship Mesa Park as it will blend with some of the trees already there. The organizers of the Christmas Celebration want to thank Tom’s Tree Place and Wolfforth Public Works for all their help!
