Recently students in Mrs. Rundell’s third grade classes at Westwind Elementary had the opportunity to learn how to research topics, with a focus on animals specifically. Before the projects could begin, the students first selected an animal they wanted to learn more about and spent time researching the animal using the Internet and the library as resources. Next the students were asked to create a PowerPoint to showcase their recent findings. Once the research and slideshow were complete, the students were then each challenged to create a habitat of his or her animal. After they had rounded out their research project, the students appeared on Westwind’s KPAW News to share all their newly learned information with the rest of the campus. Great job students!
