Frenship ISD extends congratulations to Terra Vista Middle School students Cole Claborn, Adilyn Love, and Caroline Hicks for their selection one of six state finalists in the middle school division of the 2017 Celebrate Texas Public Schools video contest hosted by the Texas School Public Relations Association.
This year’s theme was “Power of Public” and video entries were asked to share to positive message of public schools and feature students, teachers, programs, and significant achievements of the campus.
The video created by Claborn, Love, and Hicks was selected as the winner of the TSPRA Northwest Region contest and now advances to state.
“Every day in every city and town across the state of Texas, public educators are changing the lives of students in powerful ways,” said Nicole Mansell, 2017 CTPS Chair. “Thank you for sharing that message.”
Regional winners in the middle school division of the 2017 CTPS video contest include:
-Central: Hutto ISD, Farley Middle School
-Far West: Ector County ISD, Wilson and Young Middle School
-Gulf Coast: McAllen ISD, Travis Middle School
-Houston/Beaumont: Cypress-Fairbanks ISD, Dean Middle School
-North Central: Irving ISD, Lamar Middle School
-Northwest: Frenship ISD, Terra Vista Middle School
The state winners for the elementary, middle school, and high school divisions will be announced at the 2017 TSPRA Annual Conference held February 20-23 at the Galveston Island Convention Center. The state winning campus in each video category will be awarded $1,250 thanks to a generous donation from Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union.
