Students at Terra Vista Middle School have been working diligently in their art classes to produce work to share with the community.
The first project they wrapped up was a special project for Veterans Day. Students created work that was sent to men and women serving in the United States Army that are currently stationed in Korea. Some students created thank you notes while others just created patriotic work for the soldiers. The students hope they will receive a photo of their art work with the soldier it reached! This was a very special project and just a small token of their appreciation for all that is sacrificed for our freedom.
The second project the students completed will be hung in downtown Lubbock at the Old Christmas Town located at 19th and Avenue A. The artwork with be part of a Christmas display that begins next week and will run through the Christmas holiday at the downtown location. This was a great project with every art class at TVMS getting involved and creating art for the display.
We hope you get a chance to see the wonderful things these students have been up to!
