Tiger Baseball Stays Undefeated in District With 11-1 Victory

Tristen%20steals%20homeKoby Claborn followed up a no-hitter last week on the mound with another pitching gem, and he helped his own cause at the plate in helping Frenship remain underfeated in Distrct 2-6A with an 11-1 run-rule victory Friday against Tascosa.

Claborn pitched a complete-game two hitter while striking out nine and walking only one.  At the plate, he finished 2-for-4 with a home run, a triple, and five runs batted in.

The Frenship bats came alive in the fifth and sixth innings.  Holding on to a 3-1 lead, the Tigers scored three in the fifth and five in the sixth to seal the team’s fourth district win in as many games.

In the sixth, runs scored courtesy an RBI single by Bryce Kiser, an RBI triple by Jake Salyer, and a three-run home run by Claborn.  Salyer and Kiser each finished 2-for-3 at the plate.

Frenship has now won 11 of their last 12 games and are 4-0 in district.  They will try to keep their hot streak going when they return to the field out of district versus Plainview on Friday.
