The Frenship volleyball team opened up their tournament season by capturing three victories against some of the toughest competition from across the state in the 32-team Mansfield ISD Invitational Tournament last weekend in Mansfield.
The Tigers opened up the tournament Thursday with a straight-set victory against El Paso Eastwood 25-21, 25-16 and followed it later in the day with another straight-set win over Keller Central 25-19, 25-23. They finished the weekend with an impressive victory against Hereford in straight sets 25-20, 25-20.
The Tigers (3-7) return to the court Tuesday night as they host Lubbock High. Varsity begins at 5:00 p.m at the Tiger Pit. The varsity also plays at the Nita Vannoy Memorial Tournament this weekend in San Angelo.
