The fierce winds of West Texas along with low temperatures helped Mother Nature claim the ultimate championship at the annual Don Black Invitational track meet last weekend in Wolfforth.

After the competitors were able to complete 11 of the 17 events on Friday, Saturday’s schedule of events was cancelled due to the weather.

Despite the shortened meet, it was a nice first showing of the season for the FHS athletes. The girls’ team scored 62 points to earn a first-place finish while the boys’ team racked up 74 points for third place.

Below is a list of Frenship athletes who placed in the top six of their respective events and earned team points for the Tigers:
