With the District 2-6A track meet right around the corner, the Frenship track teams are reaching their peak performances at the right time of the year. Both the boys and girls won first place last weekend at the San Angelo Relays.The Frenship boys scored 134 points to win by 15.5 points over second-place Midland High. The Frenship girls scored 108 points and won by 2.5 points over Lubbock Coronado.
Individually, Danielle Leaks broke the Frenship school record in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.87 seconds. The boys’ sprint relay team broke the San Angelo Relays record with a time of 42.84.

The District 2-6A Meet is scheduled for April 15-17 at Lowrey Field in Lubbock.
