Tiger Mixed Doubles Team Makes Great Run at State Championships

The 2017-2018 Frenship sports season ended with a tremendous showing by the mixed doubles tennis team of Braden Tipton and Camryn Stepp who finished in the top four in the state at the UIL State Championships last week in College Station.

Tipton and Stepp opened the tournament by making quick work of their quarterfinal opponents from Katy Seven Lakes 6-3, 6-3. The duo would make a quick turnaround for their semifinal match later that afternoon but fell to the eventual state champions from Houston Memorial.

Tipton and Stepp finished the season with an overall record of 23-3 and claimed numerous tournament championships along the way.
