The Frenship girls’ basketball season came to an end Tuesday night in the Class 6A Bi-District playoffs at the hands of El Paso Franklin 63-52.  After trailing by eight at the half, the Tigers opened the second half on a 13-4 run to take a 32-31 lead.  But the Cougars responded with a 16-5 run of their own to lead by 10 at the end of the third quarter.  Frenship’s first season under head coach Trent Hilliard finishes at 20-12.

BOYS – Tascosa 69, Frenship 61

Jaxon Parrott’s 23 points and Callen Stewart’s 18 were not enough to overcome the Tascosa Rebels on senior night at the Tiger Pit.  The loss drops Frenship to 20-11 on the season, and the team now gears up for their first ever 6A playoff run which will begin next week.  Frenship will be the fourth seed out of District 2-6A.
