Tiger Golf Teams Find Success in Recent Tournaments

The Frenship Tigers golf team continued their successful fall season with another strong showing at the Bill Wallace Memorial Golf Tournament October 6-7 at the Diamondback Golf Club in Abilene.

Sophomore Jayce Hargrove finished with a one over par total 143 (72-71) to lead the Tigers to a fourth place team finish. Hargrove’s total was his best score of the fall season and gave him a fourth place individual medal.

Junior Camden Hayward and freshman Logan Vargas each shot a two day total of 150. Freshman Owen Wallace, filling in for teammate Brian Boles, shot 170 (84-86) in his first ever varsity tournament. Senior Zarin Gonzales shot 187 (93-94).

On Tuesday, October 10, the Tiger Gold team hosted the Frenship Tiger Classic at Meadowbrook Golf Course in Lubbock.

Sophomore Kade Smith shot a 27-hole total of 123 to lead the Tigers to a second place finish. Smith also won the low sophomore medal.

Seniors Cameron Young and Nick Davila shot 125 and 130 respectively. Juniors Ryan Hinson shot 137 and Kris Haire a 165.

The Tigers’ next tournament is October 20-21 in Odessa.
