Tiger Golf Grabs Bronze at Andrews Invitational

During their final round Saturday at the Andrews Invitational, the Frenship boys’ golf team rallied Saturday from a six shot deficit to storm back and claim the third place team trophy.

Friday’s team score of 332 left the Tigers in fourth place at the midway point of the tourney, but Saturday’s duplicate round of 332 was good enough to overtake Odessa Permian for third.

Freshman Leyton Lee led the Tigers with a score of 155 (76-79), which was good enough for Lee to finish in the top five individually. Ryan Hinson totaled 164 (81-83), Cameron Young fired 170 (83-87), Zarin Gonzales shot 175 (92-83) and William Kimberly finished up with a 192 (99-93).

Midland Trinity claimed the team championship while the host team Andrews finished second.
