Tiger Golf Claims Title at West Texas Classic in Odessa

The Frenship varsity boys golf team finished their fall golf season last weekend on a high note by winning the West Texas Classic in record setting fashion with one of the lowest two-day team scores in school history. The team shot a 577 (289-288) to claim the title at Odessa Country Club.

Saturday’s even par score of 288 was the Tigers best round of the year.

Junior Brian Boles carded a four-under par 68 Friday and followed it on Saturday with a five-under par score of 67. His two-day score of 135 bested the field as he claimed the individual tournament championship.

Sophomore Logan Vargas captured third place with a 141 (69-72).

Jayce Hargrove totaled 148 (76-72), Kade Smith shot 155 (76-79) and Leyton Lee completed the scoring with 162 (85-77).
