The Frenship boys’ soccer team had a weekend to remember against the best teams from West Texas by winning the inaugural Kickoff Classic Lubbock Invitational Soccer tournament.
The Tigers finished the tourney with a perfect 4-0 record and only allowed one goal the entire weekend.
FHS started with a 3-0 victory versus Canyon and followed that with a 2-0 win against Lubbock High.
After beating El Paso Andress on penalty kicks, the Tigers moved into the championship versus Monterey at Texas Tech’s John Walker Soccer Complex.
After a scoreless tie in regulation, FHS outscored the Plainsmen 4-1 on penalty kicks to claim the title.
FHS is now 5-1 on the young season and return to action on Friday, January 22 when they host Coronado.
