Four Frenship athletes were invited to represent FHS one last time as members of the ASCO All-Star Classic that featured both football and basketball games Saturday in Lubbock.
Recent Frenship graduates Grant Caravelli, Grant Sandercox, and Matt Spicer played in the eleventh annual football game at Lowrey Field in Lubbock. The trio all suited up for the red team and helped lead the team to a 16-7 victory.
Sandercox was named the game’s Most Valuable Player after he finished with an interception in the first half and the game-clinching touchdown with less than two minutes remaining in the game.
Caravelli and Spicer anchored a red team offensive line that dominated the line of scrimmage and allowed for big gains from the red team running backs.
Earlier that afternoon, Collin Houghton suited up in the inaugural ASCO basketball all-star game at Lubbock Christian University’s Rip Griffin Center. Houghton scored 12 points and helped lead the blue team to a 74-69 victory in overtime.
Congratulations to our players who represented Frenship High School.
