Three Frenship High School athletes will take their talents to the next level by signing their national letter of intent with their respective universities.
Keeley Etchison is signing to play softball at Concordia University while baseball teammates Dakota Champagne and Mason Weathers are signing with Midland College.
The signing is scheduled to take place Wednesday, November 1 at 2:15 p.m. in the Frenship High School library.
Etchison, a three-year letter winner, plays a variety of positions for the Tigers including pitcher, first base and outfielder. Last season, she compiled an 8-4 record in the pitching circle and also carried a .364 batting average with 32 hits, 30 runs batted in, and an on base percentage of .486.
The Tigers finished 2017 with a 20-13 record and qualified for the Class 6A area playoffs.
Champagne helped lead the Tiger baseball team last season with 26 hits, 16 RBI and seven stolen bases. He was named to the District 2-6A All-District second team as an outfielder.
Weathers, a first-team all-district selection as an infielder, batted .342 with 38 hits, 12 doubles, two triples, one home run and 29 RBI.
Frenship baseball had a final record of 20-17 and made the Class 6A area playoffs.
