Ask and you could receive. The Frenship Foundation for Leadership is now accepting teacher grant applications for the 2015-2016 school year. This is the third year the Foundation has offered teacher grant money for additional teaching resources to further student learning. “So far we have awarded 31 grants totaling $32,983.59,” said Cindy Stephens, Foundation Director.
Grants applications are due to the Foundation by June 26, 2015 and will be scored this summer. Scoring is done by current educators, past educators and Frenship Foundation board members. School names and teacher names are blacked out of the applications prior to scoring. This ensures anonymity for the grant writers and allows the scorers to completely focus on the quality of the grant application and the ask from the teacher. Winners will be announced at Convocation in August and checks will be delivered to campuses the first week of school.
