Second grade students at Crestview Elementary learned best practices in safety for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists at the city of Lubbock’s Safety City last week. They also learned all about fire prevention and the best plan of action if a fire occurs in their home.
Also involved were community partners in Tech Engineering and Plains Capital Bank as they hosted the second graders during the all-day field trip. Students teamed up to learn about engineering through a variety of activities at the bank.
Safety City is manned by volunteers and operated by the city of Lubbock. Photos from the field trip are below!
