Retired Wolfforth K-9 Dino Laid to Rest

It is with great sorrow that the City of Wolfforth and the Wolfforth Police Department report the death of retired police K-9 Dino. Dino served with the police department from February 2005 to April 2012. During his seven years of service, he worked tirelessly with Lt. Patrick Austin and touched many lives in the Wolfforth Community. Dino was extremely friendly and energetic and was driven by a love for his work. He was trained in building searches, drug detection, officer protection and locating persons. Due to treatment for hip dysplasia, Dino retired in 2012 and was adopted into Lt Austin’s family. He enjoyed his last years as a beloved family pet.

The community has lost a great crime fighter and the department has lost a valuable and loved tool and a friendly ambassador. Dino will be missed by the Wolfforth Police Department, the Wolfforth Community and all who knew him. Thank you Dino for a job well done!
