Students competed at the Texas State Junior Classical League Convention over the weekend at Sandra Day O’Connor High School in San Antonio.
It was a good weekend for Frenship High School’s Latin students as they competed at the Texas State Junior Classical League Convention in San Antonio with 26 out of 31 students receiving some sort of recognition for their performance in various competitions.
Nine of the 26 students automatically qualify to compete at the National Junior Classical Convention in Alabama this July.
The students who will compete on the national level include:
Emily Bayliss – Sculpture and pottery
Katie Chaffin – Polychromatic drawing
Jacob Evans – Model
Tara Findley – Poetry
KenLea Frederick – Vocal Solo
Ashley Lang – Latin Literature
Katie Tucker – Latin Derivatives
Lexi Voorhies – Oil/Acrylic painting, Monochromatic drawing, and Greek Life & Literature
Jordyn Wainscott – Watercolor/Pastel
Other students received a variety of recognitions, including:
