Nick McCauley and Katy Kirkpatrick Named Mr. and Miss FHS

Frenship ISD and Frenship High School congratulate Nick McCauley and Katy Kirkpatrick on their selection as Mr. and Miss FHS for the Class of 2018.

Nick McCauley

McCauley is involved in the Deca chapter and a member of the football, track and basketball teams. He is also an Eagle Scout, helps on his family ranch and is an active part of his LDS youth group. He is the son of Mike and Sally McCauley.

McCauley plans to attend Brigham Young University Idaho and then serve a two year mission for his church.

“I was very honored to be awarded Mr. FHS. I’ve grown up in this school district and it is an honor to be picked as the face of FHS. I wear that with pride,” McCauley said. “I think the best part about it is that my teachers and principals picked me to represent this school. They think that highly of me. It’s a huge compliment to me.”

McCauley’s favorite quote is “If you are on the right path, it will always be uphill,” by Henry B Eyring. His advice for students younger than him is to “enjoy your high school years while they last, make memories and always hit the study grind.”

Katy Kirkpatrick

Kirkpatrick is a member of National Honor Society and is an FHS athletic trainer. Kirkpatrick plans to attend Texas A&M University to study biology and pre-medicine. She is the daughter of Erik and Amanda Kirkpatrick.

“I was surprised to receive such an honor considering my short time here, but extremely grateful,” Kirkpatrick said. “The best part about being Miss FHS is knowing people see me as a positive influence.”

Kirkpatrick’s favorite quote is “You are what you believe yourself to be,” by Paulo Coelho. As for her advice to the younger classes of FHS students, Kirkpatrick says, “Never be afraid of doing something different, and always surround yourself with people who want the best for you.”

Mr. and Miss FHS is an award nominated by and voted on by Frenship High School faculty and staff. To be selected for this honor exemplifies all the aspects of what Frenship High School represents.

Congratulations Nick and Katy!
