Megan Hartline Heading to State in Shot Put

Frenship_F_Logo_blueMegan Hartline is heading to the State Track and Field Meet in the shot put after qualifying with a throw of 42-feet, 10-inches at the Class 6A Region I Track and Field Championships April 28-29 at the University of Texas at Arlington.

The top two finishers from each of the state’s four regions automatically qualify for state. Hartline’s throw was good enough for third place at regionals, but she qualified as a wild card after filing the longest throw of all of the third places regional finishers from around the state.

The State Meet is May 11-13 at the University of Texas in Austin.

Sarah Tackitt (pole vault) and Jacob Piel (shot put) also claimed third place finishes in their respective events but fell just short of qualifying for state.
