Let Your Imagination Fly With The Frenship Council PTA

The Frenship Council of PTAs hosted their annual Spring Awards Luncheon – Let Your Imagination Fly at the Casey Administration Building to honor students, teachers, administrators and volunteers for their dedication to education.

DSC_0879Students were recognized for their contributions to the 2015-16 Reflections Contest which encourages millions of students across the country to positively express themselves through their artistic ability. Students in preschool through high school seniors may submit artistic work among six categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Musical Composition, Photography and Visual Arts. Twenty-two students were recognized at the luncheon today for their artistic abilities:

Dance Choreography – Cade Franklin

Film Production – Indy Linnenkugel (State Award of Excellence); Charlie Pitner (State Honorable Mention)DSC_0883

Musical Composition – Nathan Murray (State Honorable Mention)

Photography –  Charles Banks (State Honorable Mention); Hannah Franklin; Laura Franklin (State Award of Merit), Courtney Grover; Carson Hurley; Gracie Murray (State Honorable Mention); Parker Ruth

Visual Arts – Ella Alderson; Abdullah Aldubayan; Calli Flournoy; Allison Foley; Hannah Lockett; Brooke Morrison; Scout Trumble; Brooklyn Turner

DSC_0888The Frenship PTA Council also awarded 12 scholarships to FHS seniors totaling $5,250 for their pursuits in higher education. This was the largest contribution the PTA Council has awarded to date. Educators from each campus were recognized for going the extra mile for their students through various awards at the luncheon, 2015-16 retirees were honored for their years of service to the District and the Outstanding PTA of the Year was awarded to Westwind Elementary.
