Congratulations to Heritage Middle School art students Kyleigh Baker and Bella James for earning Silver Key Awards at the National Scholastic Art & Writing Awards held in New York City.
Their recent accomplishments mark the first time in the history of HMS that art students from the campus have been recognized on the national level.
“I am very proud of these two students and their accomplishments,” said Christi Castleberry, art teacher at HMS.
Both Baker and James earned Gold Key Awards on their works of art at the Regional Scholastic Art and Writing Awards held in December at Wayland Baptist University.
Baker’s piece is titled “The Newspaper Towers” and James’s piece is titled “Portrait from the Dark.”
