The Frenship Independent School District Board of Trustees approved the recommendation of Heather Wainscott as the assistant principal for the new Frenship High School Ninth Grade Center opening in the fall of 2017.
Wainscott, a 14-year veteran in education, currently serves as a second grade teacher at FISD’s Bennett Elementary. Prior to FISD, she taught an array of grade levels in Lubbock ISD, Keller ISD, Dallas ISD and St. Tammany Parish ISD in Mandeville, Louisiana.
She is a Texas Tech graduate with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She completed her Master’s degree in Education Administration from Lamar University.
“We are excited to have Mrs. Wainscott as Assistant Principal at the Ninth Grade Center,” said Heath Simpson, NGC Principal. “She came with glowing remarks from Frenship’s Aspiring Administrators Leadership Academy program. She is a master teacher who has taught at different levels over her 14 year teaching career. She truly understands relationships and her educational knowledge will be of tremendous value to our administrative team.”
FISD is anticipating an enrollment of more than 725 ninth grade students when the new campus opens next August.
