Nine-time Dallas Summer Musical nominated Frenship theater department proudly announces their debut of Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella, a fun twist on the beloved classic. The show will be hosted at Frenship High School’s 43,000 square foot Performing Arts Center located at 902 Dowden Rd the first weekend of December. Show times are: Friday, Dec. 1st at 7:00pm, Saturday, Dec. 2nd at 7:00pm and Sunday, Dec. 3rd at 2:00pm and 7:00pm.
No ordinary fairytale, this modern spin on the epic classic takes the audience into a world where a stepsister could be kind, where the most insane people can be the most magical, and where the lines of society will be broken. With every step of this journey there will not only be excitement and unexpected events, but there will also be lessons of what ordinary kindness can do for the world.
“The talent in this year’s cast is among the best I’ve coached,” noted Director Jake Lierman. “Tackling a musical as robust as Cinderella required nothing less than the best musicians, acrobatics, sets and acting in the region. Thankfully, it came together beautifully and we can’t wait to share the experience with Lubbock.”
