Congratulations to a few of Frenship’s finest artists for winning the Wolfforth Water Expo coloring contest. The students were recognized by Wolfforth City Council member Dave Cooper with a Sonic gift card, and each winning drawing was showcased on a posted produced by the city of Wolfforth.
The overall winner of the contest was Crestview student Khiara Flugence. Other winners included Ayah Al-Rahawan, Owen Demaray, Faith Jimenez, Coldon Kiser, Yug Patel, Taylor Peace, and Ethan Smothers.
This year’s Wolfforth Water Expo is scheduled for Saturday, May 9 in the Frenship High School Student Center. The event will feature anything someone would want to know about water in West Texas. Guest speakers will discuss a variety of water topics, and Lubbock master gardeners and landscape designers will be on hand discussing water harvesting and water wise plants. There is also a kids area with activities, vendor booths, and much more.
