Frenship Students Compete at Caprock Color Guard Circuit Championships

The Frenship Band’s auxiliary units competed at the Caprock Color Guard Circuit Championships last weekend. More than 70 students competed in individual and team events with amazing results.

This is the inaugural year for the Frenship Indoor Percussion. Under the direction of Louie Pereira, they gave a riveting performance on Saturday vaulting them to a 2nd place finish in the CCGC Championships.

“The Frenship Band and its directors are very proud of the work and dedication these students have shown throughout the season,” said Scott Carter Associate Director of Bands. “Their work ethic and passion for music and the visual arts is unprecedented and we are proud that they represent Frenship ISD throughout the state.”

The Frenship Guards both completed an incredible season by bringing passion and heart to each performance. The Frenship Spirit West Gold (JV), placed 1st in the Regional A Division. Frenship Spirit West Blue (Varsity), placed 1st in the Scholastic A Division.

Under the direction of Cindy and Brian Gruben, this is the third year in a row that the Frenship guards have won the CCGC Championships in their divisions.

Many of these students also received individual awards. See a full list below. You can also check out a video of their performance here.
