Frenship Speech and Debate Team Finds Success in El Paso

Congratulations to the Frenship High School Speech and Debate team on a great performance during their first tournament Friday and Saturday in El Paso. The team captured numerous awards against 21 total schools competing. Frenship’s accomplishments included:

2nd place in Original Oratory
3rd place in Dramatic Interp
5th place in Domestic Extemp
7th place in Domestic Extemp
7th place in Student Congress
7th place in Prose

Noah McDonald – 2nd place in Original Oratory
Alex Lopez – 3rd place in Dramatic Interpretation
Kelsi Smith – 5th place in Prose
Xavier Hurtado – 5th place in Domestic Extemp
Will Stevens – 7th place in Student Congress and 7th in Domestic Extemp

“The Frenship Speech and Debate Team kicked off their tournament season this past weekend in El Paso, competing against 20 other high schools, and the Tigers placed high in 6 different events,” said Christopher Ross, Speech & Debate teacher. “I am very proud of our solid start this year, and proud of the hard work our students have put in from Day One.”
