One Frenship teacher had an incredible experience during the Texas Tech versus Texas football game on Saturday, November 11.
Through a selection process facilitated by Mister Car Wash, Ida Cisneros, sixth grade English and Language Arts Teacher was named Teacher of the Game. Mrs. Cisneros was invited to the sidelines for an hour before kickoff to watch the warmup, was introduced to the crowd during the game, and assisted Texas Tech President Lawrence Schovanec and his wife with a t-shirt toss.
“As a Texas Tech graduate, I’ve always believed that the university has one-of-a-kind traditions and to be able to experience them from the sideline was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” said Cisneros.
When asked about her favorite part of being a Frenship teacher, Cisneros said “There are so many wonderful things about being a Frenship teacher, but I think my favorite thing, since I have to narrow it down to one, has been watching my students, current and former, learn and grow into young adults. I love it when I see them in the newsletter and other media being recognized for absolutely amazing accomplishments. I love being a part of a school district and especially, Frenship Middle School, where students are being encouraged to do more and be better for the good of themselves and the community around them.”
