Frenship ISD to Begin New School Year Monday

Here’s a few reminders before the big day.

Frenship ISD is excited to welcome a record enrollment of 9,700 students returning to the district this Monday (Aug. 28). The record enrollment almost is an increase of 300 students from a year ago.

Before parents send their children off for their first day of school, here are a few reminders to help the day go smoothly:

  • Start times:
    • Elementary campuses: 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
    • Middle school campuses: 8:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
    • Frenship High School: 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    • Reese Education Center: 8:10 a.m. to 3:40 p.m.
  • Traffic:
    • Vehicular and pedestrian traffic around all campuses will increase beginning Monday, so please take extra precaution when in these areas.
    • All school zones around FISD campuses will be active beginning Monday as well.
  • Breakfast and Lunch:

To accommodate the growth, FISD will open the doors at the FHS Ninth Grade Center, a brand new freshman campus, for the 2017-18 school year. The FHS Ninth Grade Center is located at 407 N. Dowden Rd, right across the street from Frenship High School.
