Frenship High School FCCLA Team Advances to Nationals

The Frenship High School FCCLA team competed in the state competition in Dallas at the beginning of April and brought home some of the highest honors and awards.

Five students will be heading to the National Leadership Conference in California this summer to compete for scholarship opportunities and awards, attend leadership training and enjoy behind the scenes special career exploration opportunities at Disneyland.

This year’s winners are listed below:

National Qualifiers

  • 2nd – Focus on Children: Sara Mousavi, Audry Vaughn, Carisa Quintanilla

National Qualifier Alternates

  • 3rd – National Programs in Action: Brooke Pugh and Reagan Erculiani

State Winners

  • 4th – Serving Up Success: Taegan Woods
  • 5th – Recycle and Redesign: Marissa Robillard

According to FCCLA, this year’s themes is focused on using your personal strengths and uniqueness to make a difference. “You can do anything you set your mind to do. Believe in  Yourself as you lead others, develop new skills, explore career opportunities, build strong families, and give back to your communities. Make a difference. Be You.”
