132 procedures were done, which resulted in 145 products donated to the organization.
Over the course of two days, Frenship High School donated 145 products of blood to United Blood Services with 132 procedures completed during the drive.
One donation of blood can save up to three lives.
Amy Baker, Frenship’s Career and Technology Education coordinator said it was a privilege to see students so willing to give of their time to truly help others.
“More than ever before students really recognized this year why they were donating,” Baker said. “I am so proud of our Frenship family.”
Nick Todd, donor recruitment representative for Lubbock’s United Blood Services said they are thankful for the donations.
“Their efforts and support have helped assure that all blood components will be available for patients in need,” Todd said. “This contribution is greatly appreciated, not only by the United Blood Services staff, but by the many patients who benefit from the efforts.”
