Frenship FFA Career Development Teams Earn State Awards

Congratulations to the Frenship high School FFA students who placed in their respective categories at the state Career Development Events.

The following students received either team or individual state awards:

Agronomy (Sam Woolard, Ethan Carter, Tristan Arteaga, Ben Hitt): Third Place Team, Sam Woolard placed fifth and Ethan Carter placed sixth as individuals.

Wool (Jake Davis, Megan Smith, Cailey Holman, Kendall Braune): Fourth Place Team, Megan Smith placed tenth individually

Horse (Ashlynn Elliott, Ashlyn Powers, Julie Harrison, Faith Stephens): Tenth Place Team

Environmental and Natural Resources: Braxton Holder placed ninth individually

Career Development Events build on what is learned in agricultural classes and encourage members to put their knowledge into practice. These events are designed to help a member prepare for a career in agriculture by testing and challenging the student’s technical, leadership, interpersonal and teamwork skills as well as their knowledge of the subject matter.
