Congratulations to all of the Frenship students who submitted artwork and received awards from the Lubbock Arts Festival.
Jayton Cepica of Terra Vista Middle School won Best of Show in the Young Artists grades 6-8 division for his drawing submitted (picture shown), and Zoe Henry from Frenship Middle School received an honorable mention selection in the same division for her submitted artwork.
Additionally, four Crestview Elementary students received honors at this year’s Young Artist Contest.
In the kindergarten through 2nd grade division, Owen Demaray in Mrs. Fellers’ class received 3rd place and Jaci Padilla in Mrs. Maddox’s class received an Honorable Mention.
In the 3rd grade through 5th grade division, Natalie Brumley in Mrs. Betzold’s class received Best of Show and Brady Lang in Mrs. York’s class received an Honorable Mention.
Other Crestview entries in the LAF were submitted by Julia Yarbrough, Avery Sparks, Taylor Tubbs, Addisyn Speck, Brynn Carroll, Katelyn Oakes, Sofia Martinez, Jamie Yarbrough, London Carroll, Ava Peterson, Saif Bernstein, and Bryleigh Rushing.
All pieces of artwork were judged Thursday night and will be on display at the LAF this weekend at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center. Admission is four dollars on Saturday and free on Sunday from 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
