Frenship Middle School came home with the first place trophy for 8th grade and the second place trophy for 7th grade in the Lubbock County Middle School Tennis tournament which was played over two weekends. This tournament consisted of over 400 players from 15 schools FISD/LISD/Cooper. Points were awarded for making it to consolation, quarters, semis and finals for A division of singles (first weekend) and doubles (this past weekend).
8th grade won first place with 34 points! (J.T.Hutchison came in second with 22 points and Irons came in third with 21 points)
A Boys Singles: Braden Tipton – 1st place
A Girls Singles: Lauren Brown – 1st place
A Boys Doubles: Braden Tipton/Hunter Wood – 2nd place
A Girls Doubles : Lauren Brown/Izzy Ramos – 2nd place
7th grade took second place with 17 points (Irons took 1st place with 22 points)
A Boys Singles: Lucas Adams – 1st place
A Boys Doubles: Lucas Adams/Tayon Pool – Consolation winners
All three teams (A,B & C) will face Evans Middle school this week for their last matches of the season. It has been a great season!
