In honor of Bus Driver Appreciation Week, February 8-12, Frenship ISD would like to take a moment to say thank you to the men and women of Durham Transportation Services who provide transportation to our students.
Durham Transportation Services currently has 62 employees, 56 of them being bus drivers and aides, who serve the Frenship School District. These individuals run 42 daily routes transporting students safely to and from school. Annually, the bus drivers of FISD travel approximately 431,100 miles via daily routes and an additional 42,367 miles in extracurricular activities.
“I am pleased to recognize the efforts of our bus drivers,” said Dr. Michelle McCord, FISD Superintendent. “These men and women play a critical role in the education of our students by safely transporting hundreds of students to and from school each day.”
On behalf of everyone at FISD we thank you for the service you provide daily for the Frenship students. We hope you have a great week and know the work you do does not go unnoticed.
